About us

The Clash Royale League is, or as we call it in short CRL, is Supercell’s official esports league, featuring the best Clash Royale players out there. CRL aims to give players and spectators the most exciting and entertaining competition in the world.

From starting off with Crown Championships back in 2017, to three years of team based CRL ranging from 2018 to 2020, in 2021 CRL went back to its roots of 1v1 competition format which will continue to be the heart of CRL in 2022.

In 2022 we decided that it was time for CRL to strengthen its ties with the community and therefore a few chosen community-organized competitions were fully integrated to the official CRL program as additional ways of participating in CRL. What does this mean in practice?

In 2022 you can make your way to CRL World Finals through two different routes, Golden Ticket tournaments or a 6 week-long all new CRL competition.

The Golden Ticket tournaments will be hosted by our community from January until early August and if you find yourself winning one of these you are guaranteed a spot in the World Finals, and you’ve got some nice amount of prize money in your pocket as the prize pool for these tournaments will be at least $50,000.

The other option is to wait until August and participate in our Supercell official 6 weeks long CRL track. Millions will play, but only a few will in the end find themselves on the big stage at World Finals competing for their share of the $1,000 000 prize pool.

With this new format comes also a few changes to World Finals. Mark your calendars as World Finals will take place from the 23rd to 25th of September in 2022, with 16 of the best players battling it out to be crowned World Champion. Stay tuned on more details – it’s all being revealed very soon!

If you still have questions, watch our TV Royale Special where we talked about the new format and our goals for CRL in 2022!
